Professional Focus

For my entire career, I have been in the business of building trusting relationships with entrepreneur business owners. I help them think through the value drivers of what is typically their largest financial asset, their privately-owned business. Often, our work together has been focused on finding new investors/owners in order to take their business to the next level and create a significant liquidity event. I bring to the table an outside, market-based perspective, and knowledge of industry best practices gained from representing more than 75 businesses in multiple industries. I love working with Entrepreneurs, for their passion, creativity, perseverance and brilliance. After 20 years of working with them, I have come to appreciate their value to the greater social good – a pro-economic resource for improving the world.

Personal Interests

I am deeply interested in exercise for physical and mental well-being. Most mornings, you will find me at a 6:00 am group fitness class and I always look forward to an annual long distance adventure cycling / bike packing trip. In the winters I enjoy downhill skiing with my family and in other seasons I am on my bike, swimming in Lake Sunapee, offshore fishing off the Coast of New Hampshire / Maine and you’ll occasionally find me on the golf course, though my family commitments and other interests don’t allow me to earn better than a 20 handicap. I have a passion for older BMWs but have run out of garage space to add more to the stable. I watch every single Villanova basketball game and have successfully indoctrinated our kids into Nova Nation. I am a four season coach for my kids youth sports programs and I love to read, both for pleasure and for knowledge.

Dan Wyand

Professional Focus

My passion has always been working with business owners and entrepreneurs. I admire the risk and initiative they take, their perseverance to see it through, and the positive impact their efforts have on communities. I’ve made it my professional focus to help entrepreneurs become more financially successful and thus serve the greater good. Utilizing the skills developed from a diverse background of financial experience ranging from public accounting, to heading up family office investment strategies, to out-sourced CFO work – the focus has always been the same – how to maximize value. At Peloton, this generally means working with business owners to strengthen its financial operations, prepare for a transaction, develop strategies to save on taxes and defend the enterprise value in the diligence.

Personal Interests

I consider myself a jack of many trades, master of none. I’ve been known to cast a pretty good fly, mountain bike, hike, kayak, hunt, road bike, ski, run races and enjoy many other outdoor pursuits. I’ve climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, most of NH’s 4,000 footers, and plenty of peaks out West. Being active outdoors is my getaway. These days, however, personal recreation takes a backseat to raising four children. I’m a regular at dance class, playing taxi driver, introducing my girls to the joys of the outdoors or spending far too much time manicuring my lawn. To keep life balanced, I make it a priority to give back to the community, particularly with organizations involved in outdoor conservation, helping underprivileged kids, and assisting those afflicted by cancer.

Harper Marshall

Professional Focus

The focus of my career has been working with owners of private, often family-owned, businesses to achieve their business goals and objectives. The result has provided me with a depth of experience in all aspects of a company’s governance, due diligence, capital raising, debt financing and merger and acquisition structuring as well as general corporate and legal matters.

Prior to joining Peloton, I was a partner at a large regional law firm, as a member of the firm’s M&A, Taxation and ESOP groups. I am able to leverage my background of finance, taxation and transactional work to drive value for our clients and achieve positive and efficient outcomes. I have a wealth of experience working with companies, business owners and investors overseeing structural reorganizations, re-financings, capital raises, mergers and acquisitions and succession and strategic planning. My experience has been with a range of clients – from individuals to businesses of all sizes with transaction values from under $5 million to over $500 million.

Personal Interests

If I’m not working, I’m generally focused on spending time with my wife and two young daughters. My wife is a full-time physician, so our busy careers and lives make finding time to spend with each other and our girls a priority.

In the pockets of time between work and family life, I can be found jogging with my dogs, at an occasional boot camp class at my local gym, leaving large divots and high scores at a golf course, skating in my backyard ice rink, saltwater fishing or shooting ducks (in season). All of which I enjoy, but none of which I am able to master (yet)!

Craig McMahon

Professional Focus

Whether guiding a client though an M&A transaction, co-founding my own company, or as a professor teaching about the capital markets, my greatest reward comes from helping others achieve their personal and professional goals. At Peloton, my background as a financial economist, strategy consultant, and entrepreneur brings a differentiated-skill set aimed at maximizing value for our clients. I’ve even published a book and several articles on credit and banking markets (I’m told the material is informative and doubles as an effective sleep aid).

Utilizing my background in research, financial analysis, and in organizational psychology and family counseling, I build trusting relationships with business owners to unlock value drivers during the M&A process. I’ve had the privilege of living and working in six countries. This broad-based experience helps me understand the unique dynamics of family-owned and entrepreneur led companies.

I enjoy working with family-owned companies, I’ve learned a lot from these inspirational business owners. They are optimistic, creative, and hard-working – Where many see a problem, these folks see an opportunity – Even after 20+ years of working with them, it remains a privileged and rewarding opportunity.

Personal Interests

I guess I’m a glutton for the endurance pain-cave, as I enjoy Ironman distance triathlons, ultra-marathons, marathons, 100-mile bike rides, and the occasional strength training workout. I’m not fast or particularly skilled, I just enjoy training with friends, the journey of pushing boundaries, and a cold beer after crossing the finish line (I suspect far easier ways exist for enjoying a cold beer). I’ve explored mountain ranges across the US, Europe and into the Himalayas, though I’m just as happy walking on the beach or hiking on the trails near New Hampshire’s seacoast. In the end, it’s about spending time outdoors with my family and friends.

When indoors, I enjoy reading history, especially about the formation of the American economy and of the early American Republic.

I spend time volunteering and advising on education programs that help underrepresented students achieve college-success.
