Sinauer Associates, Inc. (“Sinauer”) announced that it has been acquired by Oxford University Press (“OUP”). This transaction is the successful culmination of an initiative led by Peloton Advisory LLC to identify a strategic acquirer with a similar culture that would commit to maintaining the Sinauer brand, personnel and editorial production facility.
Sinauer, headquartered in Sunderland, Massachusetts, is globally-respected as a leading publisher of college/graduate-level textbooks and educational multimedia in biology, psychology, neuroscience, and allied disciplines.
Founded in 1969, Sinauer Associates, currently has 126 titles in print, many of which are seminal works and best-sellers in their markets. Sinauer has grown steadily over the years by maintaining its focus on working with the most talented authors, creating books and media that are handsomely designed and produced, and communicating effectively with their student audience.
